Ian also runs the popular Production Advice website, aimed at helping people get the best out of their music, recording and mixing. He is well-known for his criticism of excessively loud CDs like Metallica’s “Death Magnetic” and for taking a leading role in the fierce debate over the so-called “Loudness Wars“. In 2010 Ian organised the first Dynamic Range Day – a day of online protest and awareness-raising about the issue.

You can contact Ian via Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn, where he posts regular Production Advice hints and tips, and answers questions from anyone who wants to ask !
